On April 13, the Technical Committee for standardization of transportation salvage and underwater engineering organized an expert review meeting on the industry standard technical requirements and selection guidance for mother ship for offshore diving (Exposure Draft) in Wuhu, Anhui Province. Experts and representatives from 7 units, including Technical Committee for standardization of transportation salvage and underwater engineering, Technical Committee for standardization of transportation and maritime safety, China Classification Society, Shanghai Salvage Bureau of the Ministry of transport, Shenzhen Huawei offshore Ship Transportation Co., Ltd., salvage equipment R & D center of the Ministry of transport and Shenzhen Shanye Industrial Co., Ltd., attended the meeting.

The research group of Shenzhen Shanye Industrial Co., Ltd. reported the exposure draft and preparation instructions of the standard, which were reviewed and discussed in detail by the participating experts and representatives. It is considered that the development of the standard plays an important role in standardizing the selection of offshore diving operation support ships and improving the safety management level of diving operation in China. The leaders and experts also put forward professional requirements and suggestions for the next work of the research group.
