On November 22, 2013, the annual oil extraction safety seminar was held in Huizhou. The meeting was hosted by the Coordination Department of CNOOC Shenzhen Branch and co organized by Shanye company.

The meeting invited leaders of CNOOC sales company closely related to the oil extraction business, heads of operation areas of Shenzhen Branch, CNOOC and Beihai shipping in charge of crude oil transportation, Warwick company providing assistance and relevant heads of the crude oil section of Shekou Commodity Inspection Bureau.

At the meeting, all participating units made wonderful speeches, summarized the achievements made in the work in the first three quarters of 2012 and 2013, expounded the objective problems, and looked forward to improving the work in the future.

At this meeting, the Coordination Department of CNOOC Shenzhen Branch also presented awards to the ships with excellent safety work this year, so as to encourage them to make persistent efforts to complete CNOOC's production tasks safer and better.

Finally, Zhang Hui, general manager of Shanye company, proposed to increase the scale of the oil extraction safety seminar to make the oil extraction units in the South China Sea sit together with their counterparts in the Bohai Sea and Beibu Gulf, so as to make the marine oil extraction operation in China move towards a safer and more environmentally friendly development direction.
